We are growing and looking for a sharp, curious, and motivated recent graduate to join our accounting team in Libertyville, IL.

Position Summary:
Are you tired of applying to “entry-level” accounting jobs that want 3–5 years of experience? Not here. We’re hiring a true entry-level Staff Accountant — someone fresh out of college with a solid foundation in accounting coursework, a hunger to learn, and a passion for numbers.

You’ll report directly to the CFO and get hands-on experience with real financial operations — not just data entry. This is a fantastic opportunity to launch your accounting career in a role that offers variety, challenge, mentorship, and growth.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
• Prepare and post journal entries in multiple systems
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Assist in month-end close and financial reporting
• Analyze variances and support operational departments with financial insights
• Participate in the budgeting process and cost analysis
• Support internal and external audits
• Work with multiple ERP/accounting systems including Odoo, QuickBooks, JobBOSS, and Sage 50
• Help streamline and document accounting processes
• Travel occasionally to company locations in Fond du Lac, WI and South Slocan, BC, Canada

 

What We’re Looking For:

• Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance / Business related degree with at least 21 credit hours in accounting coursework including intermediate accounting and cost accounting.
• Strong Excel skills and general tech-savviness
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and follow-through
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Eagerness to learn and contribute — you ask “why?” and “how can this be better?”

Work Environment:
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Libertyville, IL. Occasional travel (company-paid) to our Wisconsin and Canada locations is part of the role.
