Location: Miami, FL (Doral) - Hybrid schedule 2 days a week from home

Salary: $110k - $130k base, plus bonus and excellent benefits that include 35 total PTO days!

Procurement Officer

  • Spanish required
  • Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote), but the first 30-90 days are full-time on-site for training purposes.
  • Banking industry background preferred.
  • The Procurement Officer is responsible for the procurement management. This entails working with various areas in analyzing the cost-savings of proposed vendors, overseeing the purchases and ensuring the procurement policies and procedures are adhered.
  • Experience managing vendors for supplies and services and negotiating estimates.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, proactive and resourceful
  • Able to manage relations at all levels of the organization with good communication and presentation skills.
  • Reports to EVP, CFO. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities

Summary of Position

The Procurement Officer is responsible for the procurement management of the company. This entails working with various areas in analyzing the cost-savings of proposed vendors, overseeing the purchases and ensuring the procurement policies and procedures are adhered.

Essential Functions and Duties

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the policies and procedures for the Procurement area.
  • Collaboration with departments in the process of creating the annual budget for purchases.
  • Conducts analysis during contract negotiating, working closely with incumbent departments on their needs and requirements.
  • Responsible for the on-going administration of the new and existing contracts.
  • Ensures the negotiation of purchasing contracts with vendors have the proper documentation.
  • Works with internal customers to review complex purchasing requirements ensuring the procurement strategy is adhered.
  • Responsible for the procurement budget.
  • Liaison between Multinational and Executive Management in the processes of Procurement Management.
  • Gatekeeper of the annual due diligence requirements for the critical vendors.
  • Responsible for the ordering of branch supplies forms and final approval of office supply order for the bank.
  • Responsible for completing annual training program assigned.
  • Performs other functions and/or duties as assigned.

Qualifications Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Five (5) years of experience in the Banking industry or related field. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area.
  • Proficient and advanced computer skills including but not limited to proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • Must be bilingual in both English and Spanish. Ability to fluently speak, understand, read and write both languages.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multi-task, with strong organization, time-management and prioritizing skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently ensuring timely deliverables.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in daily tasks ensuring assignments are completed accurately and on time.
  • Strong customer service skills, ensuring satisfaction with both internal and external customers.
  • Strong presentation skills to various levels of the organization.
