Ruff Roofing is looking for a proactive leader to manage production, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure the successful completion of roofing projects on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee Day-to-Day Operations: Manage the daily roofing production activities, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

- Coordinate with Internal Teams: Work closely with sales, office teams, and project managers to schedule jobs, set production timelines, and ensure smooth job transitions.

- Supervise Subcontractor Crews: Lead, support, and manage subcontractor crews to ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and Ruff Roofing’s values.

- Material and Logistics Management: Oversee material orders, delivery coordination, and job site readiness, including dumpster placement and permitting.

- Quality Control: Ensure that field supervisors are doing their work correctly, effectively, and efficiently at every job. The expectation is to visit job sites throughout the week will be required to maintain a proper pulse of what is occurring out in the field. 

- Customer Satisfaction: Handle job closeouts, resolve customer issues, and conduct follow-ups to ensure excellent customer experience.

- Monitor Costs and Timelines: Track job costs, timelines, and profitability to ensure efficiency and effective resource allocation.

- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies are adhered to on job sites, and lead daily safety audits.

- Process Improvements: Continuously contribute to workflow improvements, identifying areas for greater efficiency and cost savings. Manage and own our production workflow in the companies CRM and operational system Job Nimbus.

- Use of Technology: Utilize platforms to track production progress, monitor job performance, and manage documentation.

- Team Leadership: Provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities for Project Managers and field staff, ensuring a motivated and accountable workforce.

- Establish performance KPIs and develop management reports/dashboards.

- Incident and claim Investigation: Investigate and document any incidents, near misses, accidents, or thefts, and report them to the leadership team.

 

What You’ll Bring:

- Experience: 3-5 years in a residential roofing production or construction management role, with a proven ability to manage high-volume production and multiple subcontractor crews.

- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with roofing systems, materials, and best practices. Comfortable using project management tools like JobNimbus. We are currently expanding our tech stack within production to increase productivity.

- Leadership Skills: Strong communication, conflict-resolution, and team-building skills, with the ability to lead teams and drive results in a fast-paced environment.

- Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization.

- Language Skills: Spanish-speaking is a plus.

- Licensing: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

- Scaling: We recently completed 100 residential roofs monthly in the month of April and are trending to do the same in May. We have an aggressive goal to grow that number by 30% by end of year, bringing the average to be 130 roofs per month, close to 150 during the busy season. We are wanting someone who can effectively manage 7-10 jobs daily and provide proper delegation and clear expectations to the team. Roofs are opened and worked on Monday – Saturday with a few on Sunday at the production manager discretion.

The expected compensation for this position is:

$70,000.00 USD - $85,000 USD

Variable Annual Bonus, 15 days of PTO, 6 Public Holidays, 1 Floating Holiday
