Job Purpose: Lead and oversee Quality function across operations. Responsible for developing and implementing quality standards, Leading ISO compliance activities, ensuring inspections and quality audits are performed as prescribed, managing the QC team, and ensuring compliance with internal policies, industrial regulations, and customer expectations.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
§ Develop, implement, distribute and maintain the company’s quality assurance processes and procedures.
§ Create, revise, distribute, and maintain all ISO documentation and procedures. Act as company representative for all ISO activities/audits.
§ Manage the day-to-day activities of the QC team, including training, performance evaluations, and workflow coordination.
§ Conduct internal audits and oversee external audits from regulatory bodies or clients.
§ Develop and Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
§ Collaborate with production, Chemist, supply chain, and customer service teams to resolve quality issues.
§ Ensure products and processes comply with relevant standards (e.g., ISO, FDA, GMP, etc., as applicable).
§ Manage non-conformance reporting, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and customer complaints.
§ Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
§ Maintain documentation, reports, and records for quality-related activities.
§ Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
§ Manages and trains Quality Control staff.
§ Oversee the daily assignments and schedules of QC staff for optimum coverage of production needs.
§ Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
§ Handles discipline and termination of quality employees in accordance with company policies.
§ Assists with implementation of new procedures and policies.
§ Manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability.
§ Recommends and facilitates solutions to any issues.
§ Understands and demonstrates proficiency with all QC tests and duties.
Required Skills/Abilities:
§ Bachelor’s degree preferred
§ 3 to 5 years of experience in a related field required with supervisory role preferred.
§ Analytical testing knowledge required.
§ Computer proficiency and ability to utilize ERP software, basic spreadsheets, and word processing.
§ Ability to read, understand, and fluently speak the English language in order to follow hazard warnings, instructions, and safety announcements, and to communicate effectively with staff and supervisors.
Physical Requirements:
§ Prolonged periods of standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, reaching.
§ Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
§ Must have visual acuity to distinguish color.
§ Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
