Retail Business Manager – Entry-Level Leadership Opportunity

Location: Multiple Locations – Iowa & Wisconsin (Listed as Hybrid but will be on-site at an Iowa location)

Are you a recent college graduate with a business degree looking to kickstart your career in management, retail operations, and entrepreneurship? We’re a franchisee group that owns and operates multiple Plato’s Closet locations across Iowa and Wisconsin, and we’re looking for energetic, business-minded individuals to help us lead our growing stores.

This is a hands-on management role where you’ll gain real-world experience running a business—from team development and operations to marketing and inventory strategy. You’ll be part of a supportive leadership team that values accountability, creativity, and growth.

What You’ll Do:

Business Operations

• Learn to manage and interpret POS, inventory, and financial reports

• Assist with payroll, scheduling, and month-end procedures

• Handle back stock, ordering, and supply management

Leadership & Team Development

• Hire, train, and coach store teams including buyers, sales associates, and keyholders

• Support implementation of store policies and operational standards

• Help foster a positive and productive work environment

Customer Experience & Sales

• Ensure an exceptional in-store experience through customer engagement and team example-setting

• Maintain a clean, well-merchandised store with racks consistently stocked

• Oversee inventory intake and guide buyers to align with management strategy

Marketing & Brand Engagement

• Assist with store-level marketing efforts including social media, seasonal promotions, and community engagement

• Help promote the brand’s sustainability mission while supporting store-specific marketing needs

Growth & Strategy

• Contribute to store performance strategy and team culture development

• Learn all functional areas of business operations with opportunities for advancement across locations

What We’re Looking For:

• Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail, or a related field

• Strong leadership potential with excellent interpersonal skills

• Passion for retail, sustainability, and fashion trends

• A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment

• Willingness to relocate or commute to various Iowa or Wisconsin stores as needed
