Salary: $10.70 Hourly Location : Main Campus (BG), OH Job Type: Student Worker Job Number: BGSU00824 Division: President's Office Department: Student Employment Opening Date: 05/22/2025 Closing Date: 8/1/2025 11:59 PM Eastern Summary To serve as the Stage Manager or 1st Assistant Stage Manager for a mainstage Department of Theatre and Film production. Career Readiness Competencies : Communication Professionalism Teamwork Essential Functions Responsible for the smooth and efficient running of rehearsals and performances. Taping out the floor plan. Setting up and clearing the rehearsal space as needed. Requesting rehearsal props and rehearsal costumes as necessary. Responsible for keeping track of decisions made in the rehearsal process. Distributing forms and collecting personal information from the cast and crew. Recording blocking and keeping appropriate paperwork in a prompt book. Prompting. Taking line notes as needed. Timing all runs and rehearsals. Communicating changes and concerns with the production team through daily rehearsal reports. Lead discussion in weekly production meetings. Running and calling the show in performance. Ensuring that all rehearsal and performance areas are secure after use. Other duties as assigned in accordance with standard theatrical practice. A more specific detail of duties can be requested from the Stage Management supervisor. Minimum Qualifications Full-time student with minimum G.P.A. of 2.0 Working knowledge of stage management and theatrical procedures Willingness to work with fellow students and staff Able to do moderate lifting Able to follow verbal instructions Additional Information Evening and weekend hours required Bowling Green State University is an Equal Opportunity Educator and Employer.
